Kanotix shows notification "You should update your system" but with no other choice of action to follow than the button <<Later>>.
How to update the system then?

I do not understand german, I tried apt-get update and I have the message:

perhaps you haven't the correct sources.lst

IIRC the iceweasel source list entry of last ISO is unfortunately inside of /etc/apt/sources.list instead of a separate source list entry as /etc/apt/sources.list.d/iceweasel.list. That's why you should update the general sources.list file as well. See !hellfire point 1 in IRC too.

Should I run all the command "" apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade && apt-get clean "" as a whole or separately:
first: apt-get update
then: apt-get dist-upgrade
and finally: apt-get clean ?

What is IRC here? How to enter it?

You can run the commands in one line with && or in single commands, just as you want.

Entering the IRC #kanotix channel is quite simple here:

You can ask the people in the chat for help.
There are allways some guys to answer in English, often Kano himself.
