          | hello! i have a problem with the d-link dwl-g132 usb wireless card. when i plug into the usb socket the power led is off.. lsusb return this:
 
 Bus 001 Device 011: ID 2001:3a03 D-Link Corp. [hex]
 
 But i can't see it when i do iwconfig....
 
 What can i do???
 
 using kanotix-2005-04

 Thanks for your reply.. I try with ndiswrapper.. And it works, infact says that driver and hardware are OK, but when I do modprobe ndiswrapper the shell freeze.... Any ideas?

 Did you reboot? Sometimes reboot helps.
 
 Other distros require ndiswrapper -m
 
 I think Kanotix already has this built-in, ndiswrapper -m gives error message in Kanotix, but it doesn't do any harm
 
 Sometimes there are IRQ conflicts which need to be fixed by blacklist
 
 If the card not turning on is the real cause of the problem there may be a configuration file in /etc you could edit to fix
