          | I've read all the threads in this forum that pertain to adsl networking problems and tried the solutions offered, but none has worked for me.
General info: nVidia nForce MCP Adapter, AMD 64 processor, Windows XP.

I run netcardconfig, and then ifconfig and I can find eth0 shown as "RUNNING." And the hardware address for the card is correct. Then, I run PPPoE config for ADSL and the system doesn't find my Access-Accelerator.

 Here's what's in /etc/network/interfaces:

 auto lo eth0
 iface lo inet loopback
 iface eth0 inet dhcp

 iface dsl-provider inet ppp
 provider dsl-provider

What's my best plan of action at this point?

          | Here's an additional piece of information:
When I run the CD in VMware, and do PPPoE configuration, the system has no trouble finding my access-accelerator. But when I boot from the CD and then try PPPoE configuration, the system cannot find my access-accelerator.

 Why would that be?
