Hi, i have this problem: i've updated to kanotix 2006-01 RC4... and i don't know how to configure and start my adsl connection, while before (with kanotix 2005-04) i used "eagleconfig" and "startadsl" and everything was ok. I have an Aethra Starmodem and when i boot it is recognized and synchronized, but "eagleconfig" doesn't work (doesn't exist). As you can see I'm not so expert on using Linux....
Help me, please.

| The eagle-usb drivers were removed i'm afraid. You'll have to download/ compile them yourself, luckily not too hard. |

The old driver is removed, thats correct. But there is a new driver in it (even in every standard kernel). It is configured by:
/etc/modprobe.d/ueagle-atm
defaults to 1.32 - if needed change and reboot or
killall br2684ctl 2>/dev/null
rmmod br2684 2>/dev/null
rmmod ueagle-atm 2>/dev/null
update-modules
modprobe ueagle-atm
Then use my-pppoeconf or pppoeconf. Please wait till you see sync signal. |
