Moin,
seit ein paar Tagen komme ich bei Google Earth nicht über den Startbildschirm hinaus.
Folgendes wird einen dann in der Konsole angeboten :

Ist ja nett das Google sich entschuldigt  aber mir wäre es lieber es würde wieder funktionieren.
Grafiktreiber sind neu installiert und Googleearth selbst auch.
Hat jemand nen Tipp ?

| Deinstallieren und wieder neu installieren müsste helfen. Google Earth ist manchmal etwas zickig, wenn eine neue Version von Xorg kommt. |

bei mir lag es an compiz. Seit ich das deinstalliert habe, läuft googleearth wieder.

Die "3er" zickte bei mir auch rum, die 4.0.2091 http://dl.google.com/earth/GE4/GoogleEarthLinux.bin - rennt problemlos auf diesem Setup:

Moin,
nachdem "mein" Googleearth heute nun wieder zicken macht. 
Und zwar mit einem Fehler "malloc(): memory corruption" habe ich mal etwas "gegooged" und siehe da ; Ich war nicht allein 
Loesung relativ simpel.
Das Verzeichniss ".googleearth" loeschen bzw umbenennen. Und dann gings wieder. Man muss dann natuerlich die "Fontsize" wieder neu einstellen.
".googleearth/Registry/google/googleearthplus/User/render" . Falls nicht schon vorhanden ne einfache Textdatei mit dem Namen "guifontsize" erstellen. Bei mir steht da lediglich ne 12 drin.
