Hello, I would like to start by saying that I have just switched from ZenWalk to Kanotix due to Zens lack of KDE support... But I love Kanotix and am glad that I have made the switch.
Ok, now for the reason I'm here... I am using the 2006 RC4 and am wondering why I can't login as root? Is there a reason for this? Also, when I play DVDs, the picture is very jumpy and blotchy(audio is fine)... Is there a fix for this? And last but not least, <this may sound stupid> what packages are supported in Kanotix?(.TGZ were the only supported packages in ZenWalk... I had to learn the hard way) I apologize if the answers are in the FAQ, I just have not had the time to read through it. Thank you in advance for any help. |

sux
then you get root and you can execute X apps. |
