Hi I hava a kanotix operating sistem and I want to activate beryl aiglx on my os !!!
How do I do that ?
Info: I have a sempron 2400 ati 9550 512 mbram
I have installed the ati card driveres from www.ati.com
Also I installed aptitude!
Please help me because i do not now how to configure xorg file and needer what packeges I must have in order to install beryl aiglx |

| With fglrx it is not possible to use beryl / aiglx. |

| When you know how you installed it by manually downloading the installer, then learn how to manually UNINSTALL it. I only provide steps to uninstall when you used my script. |

Please make a little tutorial or a script if u can and explain me how I install beryl and configure my video card (with out the ati drivers) from the begining!
Let supose that I installed kanotix dvd with the installer!!!My video card is configure bt kanotix I start kdm and I install aptitude?
From there what are the next steps!!!
Please till now this is the only forum where I found something to my problem!!!
Realy I like beryl and I do not what to wait 1 year ,when may be kanotix will be with beryl configured!!! |

add this line to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb debian-unstable beryl-svn
add this to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf :
Section "Device"
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps"
Option "AGPMode" "8"
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "1"
EndSection
*edit
then apt-get update && apt-get install beryl (i think is enough )
to start beryl press ALT+F2 and type beryl-manager and look what's happen
