Hi folks!
Could you help me to install/use my EPSON PERFECTION 3490 PHOTO scanner in kanotix hellfire 2.6.38 ?
I am always a very beginner in linux.

I guess the scanner firmware is missing. Is the scanner properly detected if you plug it in? You can see that in dmesg output. |

After xsane I have this :
[snapscan] Cannot open firmware file /usr/share/sane/snapscan/your-firmwarefile.bin.
[snapscan] Edit the firmware file entry in snapscan.conf. |
