Ran apt-get update & received:
Err http://kanotix.com ./ Release.gpg
Could not connect to kanotix.com:80 (195.201.86.56), connection timed out
followed by 6 copies of:
Err http://kanotix.com ./ Release.gpg
Unable to connect to kanotix.com:http:
Then 7 warnings for different directories like this:
W: Failed to fetch http://kanotix.com/files/dragonfire/./Release.gpg Could not connect to kanotix.com:80 (195.201.86.56), connection timed out
Any suggestions for fixing this?
Linux version 3.9.0-2-generic (root@Kanotix) (gcc version 4.7.2 (Debian 4.7.2-5) ) #6kanotix1 SMP Sat May 18 23:32:17 CEST 2013

I think this may be a temporary failure, (your network?)
on the other hand there are newer kanotix versions avaible.

I've tried a number of times & gotten the same errors.
Don't think it's a network issue since it only fails when trying to connect to Kanotix.com.

is there a link - to old now ? ftp or https ?

Is the following correct for Dragonfire? (3 line except from sources.list.)
# Kanotix Dragonfire
deb http://kanotix.com/files/dragonfire ./
deb-src http://kanotix.com/files/dragonfire ./
One of the files it complained about was "http://kanotix.com/files/dragonfire/Release.gpg". I can see the directory & download the files with a browser.
But it can't connect to server when I use "wget http://kanotix.com/files/dragonfire/Release.gpg".
What am I missing? |

I don't know what that is. I'm definitely not on a mobile connection.
I recently moved & am now on the "AT&T Internet 100" plan, which is suppose to be "100% fiber network". I was on an AT&T DSL plan previously.
Hmmm, come to think of it. I didn't have any update problems before the move!
What can I do now? |
