I have just installed Easter RC4 and everything is perfect as far as I can see. One problem is at times when I logout, I am taken to full screen command prompt....I have to su so I can shut down from there with "shutdown -a now". I noticed on my K menu when I click "logout" there was only "end current session" as my only choice. I remember this happening a while ago around Kanotix 2005-3. I don't remember the fix. Is this a KDMRC issue? Please help! Thanks   |

when you got end current session presented, 2 reasons are possible.
1. you started from the console with startx.
2. you have formerly run a console with not ended the before started kde-session. and start a new Kde-session.
With this you get only presented end currend session.
Solution for 2. press F6 once again and than logout.
solution for 1. logout as USER and login as Root. than perform a init 5 and kdm lets you either login or shutdown. |

| Also make sure in Control Center -> KDE Components -> Session Manager -> General -> that both -> Confirm logout & Offer shutdown options - are checked along with -> Default Shutoff Option is checked with -> Turn off Computer |
