Hi, I am trying Kanotix again and have a few questions.
How do I install the quickaccess folder widget?
How do I get google contact, provider for google calendar and lightning 1.9.1 to work with icedove?
I am using my thunderbird 10.x profile for icedove.
Also I need KDE-Grub config.

Look into the boot/grub/grub.cfg inside the iso
and if you use the LinuxTag iso add

locales=en_US.UTF-8
to the grub-boot-commandline when you boot the iso with en.

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear.
I have installed Kanotix. I want to install the package KDE-grub-configure so I can change a few things in the grub splash. |

you can do the same with

dpkg-reconfigure locales
and i would fix the timezone as well using
Code:
dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
in the case you want to boot your other os as default you can change the number of seconds to wait in /etc/default/grub (TIMEOUT). and for boot order:

mv /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober /etc/grub.d/09_os-prober
after any grub change run

update-grub

| I see no reason to use grub editors, thats useless anyway. For lightning i tried version 1.2.3 and it worked, i could also add ics calenders from a google account. |

plasma-widget-quickaccess is dead AFAIK, no maintainer. I even don't know if it still compiles on KDE 4.8+, the last adjustments I made were in July 2011. In Arch it was kept alive throughout 2012 but now also seems to be abandoned: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kdep ... ickaccess/
You might want to use shelves instead (part of lancelot package). |
