Preparieren eines Usb-Sticks

Für die Erstellung eines bootbaren Usb-Sticks unter Windows wird das .iso in .img umbenannt und als Admin mit dem folgenden Tool gestartet:
windows-usb-tool∞
Um unter Linux ein bootbares USB-Medium zu erstellen wird folgendes Tool benötigt :
in der konsole...
wget -N http://git.moblin.org/cgit.cgi/moblin-image-creator/plain/image-writer
dann folgt die Eingabe auch als User:
chmod +x image-writer
./image-writer kanotix-2.6.38.iso
um das iso auf den Stick zu schreiben.
Tip
die persistente Version:
wget -N http://kanotix.com/files/fix/create-syslinux-usb-drive-persistent.sh
dann mit:
chmod +x create-syslinux-usb-drive-persistent.sh
./create-syslinux-usb-drive-persistent kanotix-2.6.38.iso /dev/usb-drive
- für usb-drive z.b sdb
- und das iso sollte auf dem neuesten stand sein.
